2nd grade, Class J, from Higashiyama Junior High School
| Our slogan, 'a flight,' had a wish. We wanted each student to play an active role like flying upwards. We had a longer preparatory period than usual this year, so while we wanted them to raise the degree of perfection, we were also worried about whether we could keep their motivation. There were lots of troubles in each group, but centering on the leader, they solved the problems and grew up every day. We the executive committee felt we had to keep up to see their attitude. We began in earnest with preparation so that they were satisfied. The weather was nice and we could held sports day at our best. People who ran as well as they can, people who win and lose, they were very impressive. It was a great sports day. |  |
Leader of blue group, Tamon Kamigaito
3rd grade, Class A, from Nakayama Junior High School
| Blue group's slogan was 'rise like a dragon' and we made a group which had a good atmosphere. We had a longer preparatory period than usual this year and we practiced carefully, so our work was behind schedule sometime, but we communicated with each member and we could make it. Our cheering performance won second prize in the first half and first prize in the second half. It is because we worked for it before summer vacation. We won first prize in entrance march. I'm proud blue group won first prize three years in a raw in this field. We finished in second place as comprehensive result. I was very happy and I'm proud my mates who did their best. I really thank to sub members who helped me. I thank to cheering members, manager, mascot and teachers of blue group. I was always causing inconveniences, but I was happy to become the leader of blue group. Good luck on blue group to the next year!! |  |
Leader of yellow group, Koki Sawada
3rd grade, Class I, from Matsukura Junior High School
| I remember I felt uneasy because members of yellow group didn't get together. However, as sports day got closer, we pulled together. Even we took third place in a game, everyone cheered up and enjoy themselves. Yellow group united into one and I was very happy to become the leader of this wonderful group. In cheering performance, I could perform as hard as possible feeling a support from yellow group. I felt refreshed after the cheering performance. All cheering members smiled and I almost cried to see that. We won the victory as comprehensive result and we have kept the first place for three years. We won because all members of yellow group did their best. I expect that yellow group will win in the next year. |  |
Leader of red group, Yutaro Aoki
3rd grade, Class H, from Nakayama Junior High School
| We red group had a slogan 'flutter and dance like a phoenix' and each member worked hard. We practiced to stand in a raw and reply in a loud voice. Our comprehensive result finished in third place, but sub members, manager, mascot and cheering members united into one so we could performed the best cheering performance. Each member did their best in a game and they cheered other members. Seeing this situation, I was happy to have great group members. I pulled a group together with my natural abilities. I'm proud I could make a group which had a great atmosphere. Through sports day, I could change myself. I owe it to the members of red group. I was always supported by them. Thank you for believing in me. |  |
